Exrah Contest Update

You probably noticed I've been out of the loop for a bit.  Silly real life commitments.  Or you haven't, since you aren't reading this at all. :P  Either way, the contest deadline for the Exrah painting contest and challenge has been officially extended to March 31st.

Go paint some bugs!

Exrah! Exrah! Read All About It! :: Painting Competition ::

What better way to move forward on the blog than with a friendly Infinity community painting competition!

This came together out of the discussion HERE, about what a future Exrah sectorial might look like, and how the current range of models needs more love!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

CONTEST & SUBMISSION DATES:

-All entries must be received via e-mail submission by MARCH 9th, 2013.

This gives you 6 weeks from this Saturday to submit your entry.

-I will then host all the final submission pictures, & create a new thread for voting.  Voting will be open for 2 weeks from March 11th - March 25th.

ENTRY GUIDELINES:

-Allowed models:  Void Operator, Vector Operator, Iskaller Jump Operator, & Caskuda TAG

-Must be mounted on an ITS legal base.

PHOTO SUBMISSION:

-Email all entries, which must include all of the below, to RyanJMiller1-AT-gmail.com

-Email subject must read exactly: INFINITY EXRAH PAINTING CONTEST

-Provide a single Work-In-Progress shot:  Part of the idea behind this competition is to get people to pick up and field new Exrah units that they might not have used before.  To encourage this and to get everyone starting from the same place, you need to provide a picture of your assembled and unpainted or primed miniature.

-Final display photo:  A single image file is allowed.  Please keep image sizes to no wider than 800 pixels for formatting.  Multiple angles and compilation images are allowed.  Try not to send obscenely gigantic image files, please!

-Include your forum username, and real name (or at least first name and last initial if you're comfortable with only that).  I need to know who's who!  I'll contact winners who's prizes need to be mailed for address information after the contest is over.

Failure to follow the above guidelines with your submission may result in getting left out of the competition.  I'll email a confirmation reply to everyone who I receive a submission from, usually within 24 hours, so that you know everything was good to go!

VOTING:

All entries will be assigned a number, so as to keep the username of it's owner hidden during voting.

There will be prizes for 1st and 2nd place of the overall voting tally.  As well as a couple "special" awards that I'll be handing out myself based on my own guidelines.

Once voting is closed, I will tally all the votes and create a new "Contest Winners and Awards" thread.

Everything will also be simultaneously hosted on my blog.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Anyway, I think that just about covers the basics of it.  As more details on the prizes and possible fun add-ons get hashed out I'll be sure to update this thread.

This is largely a friendly competition just for fun.  The prizes are provided personally at my own cost, and are mostly for encouraging a little extra level of effort.  So please keep that in mind, and above all else, enjoy yourself!

Thanks much!

That awkward moment...

...When you put up the first post on a new blog.

I'll be using this as a repository and outlet for all my Infinity related shenanigans here on the internet.  (In case you hadn't already guessed!)  Painting, converting, tactics, battle reports, and so on.

I started the game last year, with ALEPH being my first calling in the game.  And I've dabbled in small amounts with other factions, lists, or groups of models I was especially fond of; or wanted to use as demo or loaner forces.

But it seems in the end, I found myself sepsitorized and drawn in by the EI.  The background, the models, and the way they play in game all fit me extremely well.  And while I'm still very passionate about my human sphere AI counterpart in ALEPH, I spend a lot of my time working with the Combined Army these days.

So here's to working together to find enlightenment and transcendence, whether you asked for it or not.
